“It seems like months have passed since we sold Transolutions, Inc, to Amsted Industries. I am now quite busy with transition activities and my new duties as head of Amsted Russia. Nevertheless, I wanted to take this opportunity to express my deep appreciation and gratitude to you and all your associates at Cornerstone for the superb effort which has performed in preparing, negotiating and executing the sale of Transolutions, Inc. and its Russian subsidiaries to Amsted Industries.
Like you, I was a relatively young entrepreneur who had built up successful business in a certain sector and became a leader in our International market segment. I, however, had no concept of the true market value of my company, or of the perceived value that a potential buyer would be willing to pay for it. Cornerstone took a relatively naïve business owner to a new level of understanding of how to properly appraise, market and successfully negotiate a deal that is truly right for the seller as well as the buyer. The net result was a sale price that exceeded my initial expectations by a factor of two (2). You accomplished this by taking the time to learn about our business and our International market segment, which is no easy task given where we were located. The speed of execution was also a critical component of our success as you and your associates maintained pressure on both the seller and the buyer helping us keep up the necessary momentum required to close a deal of this nature. Lastly, I feel that you and your team deserve a lot of credit for the high level of service and integrity shown throughout the process. It’s not easy for a seller to part with the business that he or she has built from nothing and Cornerstone made the process painless.
